Professional Development Plan

Hi, I'm Andhyni and welcome to my reflective journal. As this continues, I will be examining who I am, where I am in my career, and how I intend to reach my objectives. To gain an overall view of who I am and what I want, I will be investigating a number of theories and other ideas surrounding my motivation and personality.
A Little
About Me
As a person, I'm shy and introverted. As a professional, I'm forward and collaborative. Finding that I come to life in a different setting and context was a delight. I graduated with a bachelor's in architecture and have been working in the interior design industry for several years. As I'm currently studying in MA Design Management, I changed into a different idea, persona, and becoming more of who I am by analysing my self-growth and potential throughout this journey.

The results of the above test are able to pinpoint my strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, they are alerting me to the fact that I should focus on improving my flaws in order to become a better version of myself.
JAHARI WINDOW
Johari Window is a self evaluation tool that help me identify myself, as well as reveal my value to my colleagues during a sharing session and gather feedback and comments from friends. The blind spots revealed few of very nice things that I'm not are of. After all, I am able to recognise and improve my own values and the parts of myself that require to be exposed in order to raise consciousness of myself.

I rarely have an interactive meeting with my colleagues and speak openly about myself. In other words, Johari Window gives me the chance to develop my self-assurance and bravery in terms of interacting with my peers.

The VARK model's conclusion correlates with who I am personally. As a kinesthetic learner, I prefer to engage in more hands-on activities and action. As an introvert who prefers to keep quiet by being more attentive and alert, that resonates to me quiet well. Also as a visual learner, I often have a clear picture of ideas in my head that is often difficult for me to share with people. But once I've identified my preferred way of learning and thinking, I can practise and develop strategies to increase the potential of my growth areas as I go.

The intrinsic elements that drove me the most is the experience I could gain, the sense of satisfaction I get from the completion of task and overcoming the various opportunity of learning experiences, also the fun that I can have with the group of people around me. On the other hand, the extrinsic elements that drove me to persist until the end are the final outcome and feedback I might get, also the rewards of possible outcome. In conclusion, I feel that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation should be present to achieve optimalization.

belbin team roles
According to Belbin, a team role is "a tendency to behave, contribute, and interact in a particular way. The component that interests to me the most is the way team roles are integrated with the project's focus on people, planning, and tasks. I reflect in the Belbin team roles by relating three main activities I implemented the most in working related activities.
Communication and Coordination
Sharper & Coordinator
Project Planning
Team Worker & Monitor-Evaluator
Managing Project
Plant & Specialist
(Meredith Belgian, 1981)
Action Oriented Roles
Shaper
Monitor
Evaluator
Coordinator
Plant
Specialist
Team Worker
People Oriented Roles
Ideas Oriented Roles
Belbin's Nine Team Roles are a great tool for identifying personal characteristics and their crucial contribution to a high-performing team when it consists of team members whose roles complement one another. After reviewing the many work situations and the roles I played, I have a better understanding of my preferred team roles.
I am more of a Coordinator, Sharpener, Plant, Specialist, and Monitor/Evaluator in this situation. Even though I enjoyed working with people, I often take a bigger role in terms of action and ideas. This may be related to the preceding discussion about my personality. As an INFP, I value-centred people in decision-oriented and open up to ideas and possibilities, but at the same time I preferably enjoy working alone and recharge in solitude.

Determine
At this point, I'm positioning myself in between the line. By analising myself through this conscious leadership theory, knowing where I am below the line is giving me self-awareness of my state, because I am here not be committed to being right, but im committed to learning by not being defensive and refraining from presuming that I am fully informed about a situation.
So I am slowly but sure shifting myself into rising above the line, and my perception will undoubtedly change once I adopt all of the above-the-line philosophy into my way of approaching things.

NOW WHAT
According to Johns (2000), thinking back on your actions first involves conscious effort after the occurrence but later develops into a habitual mental process even while you are still experiencing the event. These models' insights enable me to be more conscious of my own thought processes. Also, investigate my own cognitive processes by directly questioning them. It simply makes me reflect on my actions by working through the same questions at various levels so I can comprehend my intentions.

Possibilities
After analising my actions towards my goals, I align my development objectives and self-growth to a particular plan. My career plan's mind map helps me clearly identify and communicate key information as well as the subject's overall structure. As a visual learner, this format simply provides instant comprehension for me to sort out my thoughts and carefully planning my next step to identify development goals
This Career Plan model by Law and Watts (1977) gets me to identify my character and overall qualities before I explore my possibilities to analyse my learning and goal-planning that will affect my decisions in a professional context. It's important to first look into the particular skills and abilities I bring in order to get an idea of who I am as a person before selecting a professional option. This plan is a sequence of formal and informal steps s that will help me develop a realistic understanding of my long-term professional objectives. By analysing myself first, I get a better understanding of my strengths and potential growth areas.

Once I identify my current interests and skills, I can determine which areas I can improve to achieve your goals. Then I plan goals to be measurable and relevant, and have specific approaches with refelctions and learning theories to base my methods. and to seek my professional growth, I need to optimizing my resources to provide myself a networking opportunities, workshops, and other potential places that will help enhance my career path.
